Biography

Ms. Heidi Baust grew-up in Western New York and graduated from Kenmore East High School. After attending college in nearby Rochester, NY, she instructed art for 6 years at Kadimah School in Amherst before beginning her career at The Gow School.

At Gow, Mrs. Baust has taught ceramics, 3D art, digital photography, and computer graphics. She became the Applied Technology Department Chair in 2013. Mrs. Baust enjoys working at The Gow School because of the small classes, the creativity of her students, and the campus-wide support for art and technology programs. She likes keeping in touch with her former pupils and watching them succeed in their chosen careers.

Mrs. Baust met her husband, Maintenance Department team member Richard Hausauer, while working at Gow. They live in East Aurora, and their two children love attending The Gow School Summer Program every year. Mrs. Baust’s hobbies include ceramics, painting, photography, and computer graphics.
