Mr. Thomas Giallanza
M.A. History, University of Virginia 1988
Mr. Thomas Giallanza grew-up locally in Elma, NY. He and his brothers and sisters carpooled to high school with Headmaster David and Alice Gow’s two sons. Mr. Giallanza began his career at The Gow School after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College and his Master of Arts in Early Christian/Medieval British History from the University of Virginia. He refers to himself as “a dedicated Govian.”
Mr. Giallanza serves as History Department Chair and teaches 10th grade European History. In addition, he instructs the senior elective Business Seminar and supervises the associated campus store, Little Seniors. He often is on his way to BJ's Wholesale Club, doing inventory, and encouraging his students to increase store profits through creativity and ingenuity.
Mr. Giallanza lives on campus with his wife and their two children, and a black-and-white cat named Bandit. In his free time, he enjoys reading, gardening, learning more about personal finance, and studying health and nutrition. He is a fan of NPR and the Dave Ramsey Show, and he admits to being a full-time Beatle-maniac.
