Biography

Mr. DaMar Dowell instructs instrumental music and music production at The Gow School. According to Mr. Dowell, “It is a dream come true to be a teacher of children and young adults. I feel honored and privileged to help mold and shape the next generation.”

Before arriving at Gow, Mr. Dowell worked as a site coordinator and case manager at Community Action Organization and as a leadership executive at United Way of Erie County. In 2013, he started his own company, Dowell Productions. He also is the founder of national recording artists Jesus Centered Music.

Mr. Dowell loves producing music for himself and for others, and he enjoys playing just about every sport. He currently is working on his Bachelor of Arts degree in music production with a scheduled graduation date of 2017. Mr. Dowell lives off-campus with his wife, Gila, and their four children in what he refers to as "mini-van life."
