Biography

Mr. Dale Hazen graduated from Hiram College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He continued his education in 2001 and earned a Master of Education in Science Education from SUNY at Buffalo. Mr. Hazen taught in Conneaut Area City Schools in Ohio from 1979-1981. In addition, he spent time at the Astatic Corporation during 1975-81. In 1996, faculty and students at The Gow School recognized Mr. Hazen with the Lowell L. Lundell Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Mr. Hazen enjoys ornithology, and over the years, he has had numerous pet birds. He spends his vacations working on lesson plans, maintaining his property in West Falls, and splitting wood. He and his wife Rachel have two sons and one daughter.
