Event Recap:

The cross country team traveled to Delaware Park to compete in a tri-meet vs. St. Francis and Bishop-Timon. On the mucky course, team captain and front runner Grant S. finished over two minutes in front of St. Francis’ top harrier in a time of 17:03. The second Raven through the chute and capturing fifth overall, was sophomore Mark C., who put forth a gritty performance throughout the race and delivered an exciting finish in 20:49; this improved his Sept. 28 time by 47 seconds. Setting a personal record was Eric W. in 21:25, who narrowly edged out teammate Jacob P. at 21:27. They captured seventh and eighth, respectively. The final scoring Raven was Owen P. (23:00) who took tenth place.

Shane M., who just recovered from an injury from before break, had a strong performance(23:05). Jack B. (23:22) and Cameron G. (26:05) both ran very aggressively and did a great job! Also setting personal records were Zach H. (26:01) and Spencer G. (30:52). Zach’s previous best time was 28:07 and Spencer’s was 31:45. Great work by both athletes!

The Running Ravens have one more race to go at the All-Catholics Championship. The team was disappointed by this loss, but they are still pleased with their overall performance. Gow hopes to have a solid finish to a great season! Go Ravens!
