Event Recap: The Ravens hosted the Tapestry Thunderhawks Thursday evening. There was a lot of exciting competitive squash played. Kithsen W. was match captain and played superbly in the #1 spot. The Kalla brothers led the way by winning their matches in convincing fashion. Ibrahim won his first attempt at competitive match play. Another rookie to league match play was Sam Tayler. Sam won his match in three straight games. Varsity players George L. and John E. played no nonsense squash. They hit great lengths and moved their opponent all over the court. Toma B. played tough but couldn’t overtake Tapestry’s #2 player. Toma made many incredible shots, but was equaled on this day by his Tapestry counterpart.
The team travels to Ridley College in St. Catharines, ON. this Saturday to take on the best Ridley has to offer. On Sunday Coach Forgeron visits the Gow campus to facilitate a final clinic for the Ravens players. The team plays Nichols at home on Tuesday in a battle for first place in the league. This is the final match for Gow before we leave for New Haven, CT. to challenge for the national division V title.
