The Ravens lost a critical league game in heartbreaking fashion against visiting CCA. While they played with energy and desire, they were frustrated throughout the match by their opponent's effective offside trap. Down 1-0 in the first half, Gow leveled the match with some nice play through Toma B. and Chuck M. Eventually, Ibby K. ran onto the ball and dribbled into the center of the 18 yard box. His finish was both powerful and well placed, beating the CCA keeper low to the right side of the net.
With an uneventful second half, the match went into overtime. Both sides had chances, though the game seemed destined for a draw. But with 30 seconds left on the clock, CCA won a corner kick. Gow keeper Greg K. couldn't squeeze the lofted cross and all watched in agony as the ball dropped into the goal. No time for the Ravens to sulk as they host Cardinal O'Hara tomorrow.
