Biography

Mr. Douglas Cotter attended The Gow School as a high school student. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY at Buffalo in 1993 and worked at West Side Rowing Club before returning to Gow in 1993. At The Gow School, he has worked as an intern, history teacher, and a rowing coach. He served as Associate Director of Admission before accepting his current position as Director of Admission in 2013.

Mr. Cotter enjoys sailing, traveling, reading, and learning more about history. He and his wife Kelly have two boys. They live locally off-campus. Andrew '19 just graduated from Gow and Edward '23 is in his first year.
