Biography

Mr. Thomas Giallanza grew-up locally in Elma, NY. He and his brothers and sisters carpooled to high school with Headmaster David and Alice Gow’s two sons, David and Phillip. Mr. Giallanza began his career at The Gow School after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College and his Master of Arts in Early Christian/Medieval British History from the University of Virginia. He refers to himself as “a dedicated Govian.”

Mr. Giallanza serves as History Department Chair and teaches European History and U.S. History. In addition, he instructs the Senior Elective Business Seminar class and supervises the associated campus store, Little Seniors. He often is on his way to BJ's Wholesale Club, doing inventory, and encouraging his students be productive and responsible business owners.

Mr. Giallanza lives on campus with his wife and their two children, and a black-and-white cat named Bandit. In his free time, he enjoys reading, gardening, studying personal finance, and learning about health and nutrition. He is a fan of NPR and the Ric Edelman Show, and he admits to being a full-time Beatle-maniac.
