Byron Weston Scholarship

Teacher and student working together in a warm learning environment

The Gow School is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a student from Dalton, MA or the Berkshires to attend The Gow School. Don Weston, a 1942 graduate of The Gow School, created the Byron Weston Scholarship in honor of his grandfather. As his family lived and worked in Dalton and were passionate supporters of the community, Don created this scholarship fund to provide an opportunity for a student from Dalton or the Berkshires to attend The Gow School.

This award is for a deserving student with dyslexia or similar language-based learning differences who meets Gow's admissions criteria. This scholarship provides a full ride to Gow including tuition, room, board, and some incidental expenses.

Gow offers an academic-year boarding school for students from across the world with lanuage-based learning differences such as dyslexia, auditory processing, and dysgraphia in grades 5-Post Graduate. Gow also offers a five-week summer program for students ages 8 to 16 including academics, activities, and weekend trips.

Located on 125 acres just 30 minutes from the Buffalo airport, Gow offers nearly 20 sports, arts, and a full range of academic options, with a low 4:1 student faculty ratio, students receive the individualized attention and support they need to succeed.

To apply, please contact Todd Avis, Interim Director of Enrollment Management at tavis@gow.org. Admissions application and additional information will be sent upon request.
