Gow’s Robotics Program, now in its 25th year, has evolved into a dynamic, student-driven experience that blends engineering, problem-solving, and perseverance. In 2026, The Gow School became Grand Champions at the Penn West California BotsIQ Final Competition! Representing Gow were two student-built combat robots. Both teams battled their way through a competitive bracket, earning top honors against a field of 68 robots in a high-intensity double elimination tournament.

More About Our Program:

Students are involved in every stage of the process, from concept to competition.

Teams collaborate with instructors to design their robots using SolidWorks, transforming ideas into detailed 3D models.

Those designs are then brought to life using Gow’s on-campus fabrication tools, including a CNC machine, lathe, band saws, and drill press.

The result: highly engineered, battle-ready machines that are designed, built, and operated entirely by students.

During our 5-day summer program, participants have the chance to experience the process first-hand, from design to build to battle.
