    Before arriving at The Gow School, Mr. Gerald Zeis spent 14 years as the technical manager of a hazardous waste company, Clean Harbors, where he specialized in poison gasses, reactive metals, and explosives. With his wealth of experience, Mr. Zeis serves as Gow’s primary chemistry teacher and instructs additional science classes as needed. Mr. Zeis is the Head Varsity Soccer coach.

    Mr. Zeis and his wife Cindy live off-campus with their two daughters. He enjoys volunteer work, soccer, and outdoor activities.

  • Before arriving at The Gow School, Mr. Joseph Gullo served as an adjunct professor of Physics at Trocaire College and as a long-term substitute teacher for mathematics/physics at Mount Mercy Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from SUNY at Fredonia and a Master of Education in Adolescent Education from D'Youville College. Mr. Gullo received the Excellence in Education Project in 2005 for his Master's Project on computer-assisted scaffolding, and Gow's Lowell L. Lundell Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2009.

    In addition to teaching laboratory and advanced physics, as well as robotics, Mr. Gullo helps run the school's Engineering Club. Mr. Gullo is a member of the Association of Bridge Construction & Design. He has presented at several major conferences, most recently at the 53rd Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) Conference in Orlando, Florida. From 2008-10, Mr. Gullo served as the President of the Western New York branch of The International Dyslexia Association (WNYIDA) .

    Outside of Gow, Mr. Gullo taught religious education classes from 1997-2006. He loves board games, including Risk and Axis & Allies, and he coordinates the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Chess Tournament on campus. Mr. Gullo is an avid local sports fan (Bills Football, Sabres Hockey, and Bandits Lacrosse). Also, he is an advocate for regional amenities including Shea's Performing Arts Center, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Irish Classical Theater. Mr. Gullo and his wife Leslie live on campus with their five children.
