Gow students create music and where you can find it!

One of the benefits of being a Gow student is finding your passion, and for many of our students, music is that passion. Links to the student produced music can be found on the Current Parents portion of our website under downloads and links. Enjoy!

One of the benefits of being a Gow student is finding your passion, and for many of our students, music is that passion. For the last few years students have been recording original music under the guidance of Damar Dowell, Instrumental Music and Audio Engineering teacher. Students learn all aspects of song production including song writing, recording, mixing and mastering to eventually allow them to produce two songs a year. Students then choose one release onto iTunes and Spotify. Mr. Dowell says "it is empowering for my students to see their music on a public platform and be given 100% ownership of their music".

At the end of the school year Mr. Dowell and the entire art department are going to be working on a collaborative project. Students from Mr. Dowell's class will write lyrics to a song, Mrs. Schafers vocal students will be singing, Mr. Brognano's theater students will be acting and writing a script for the music video and finally Mr. Mariacher's video production students will be shooting the music video.
