The Gow School Summer Program
June 28 – August 1, 2026
Our five-week program is designed for students ages 8–16 who have the potential to excel but struggle in school or have been diagnosed with learning differences including dyslexia, central auditory processing disorder (CAPD), dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.
“Summer school” doesn’t begin to cover Gow’s exciting and challenging summer program. The Gow School a leader in language remediation, the summer program helps participants improve academic performance by teaching strategies and material, enhancing confidence, and fostering creativity. GSSP also provides plenty of opportunities for enrichment, recreation, new experiences, and fun.
Morning Academics
The goal of our summer program is not simply to help students learn, but also to help them rediscover a joy of learning that results in long-term success and increased self-esteem
Afternoon Activities
In the afternoons, program participants choose four Activity Instructional Clinics (AICs) from approximately 20 options.
Weekend Fun
Highlights of the summer program, overnight excursions take advantage of the cultural, sporting, and entertainment options of Western New York and nearby areas.
GSSP Admissions
Students ages 8–16 who experience academic challenges are invited to attend The Gow School Summer Program. Discover our programs through a campus tour, which can be scheduled throughout the year.
Course Offerings
Students choose from a variety of classes. Many take advantage of Gow’s pioneering Reconstructive Language program. Other options include writing, math (levels 1-4), study skills, robotics, photography, visual art, drama, and lab science.
Working at GSSP
The Gow School is looking for creative, energetic, and dedicated administrative staff, counselors, and teachers for the summer of 2025. Specific duties, requirements and compensation depend on the position and candidate's experience.
